What is Activated Carbon?
Activated carbon, also known as activated charcoal, active carbon, or active coal, is a highly purified form of carbon renowned for its exceptionally large surface area and intricate network of microscopic pores. These unique properties make it a powerful material for purifying liquids and gases in countless industrial and environmental applications.

Uses and Benefits
Benefits of Using Coconut Charcoal
Activated carbon has a tremendous surface area relative to its size and a sub microscopic porous network. Through the process of adsorption, it attracts and bonds with a vast array of organic and inorganic compounds along its surface, creating a sort of film. Though it does not bond well with compounds such as alcohol or heavy metals, activated carbon can be impregnated with various chemicals to improve its effectiveness against targeted compounds

Meeting Global Standards for Safety and Performance
At Carbon CG, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. From eco-friendly raw material sourcing, carbon-neutral production process to zero-waste approach, water conservation efforts, and reducing carbon footprint with local sourcing, we go all the way to ensure environmental conservation.
Unlike other traditional activated carbon, like wood and coal, our source is coconut shell, a renewable resource, eliminating deforestation and reducing reliance on non-renewable resources. Coconut shells, an agricultural byproduct that otherwise is treated as waste is transformed into activated carbon with the proper treatment.
Our production process incorporates closed-loop water systems, reducing water waste and preventing contamination of natural water bodies. We continuously invest in water purification and treatment technologies to maintain a clean and sustainable operation.

Granular Activated Carbon
Lorem ipsum
CG Carbons’ Granular Coconut Shell Activated Carbon products are used across a wide range of applications. Various mesh sizes and activity levels are employed in both liquid and gas applications. CG Carbon has extensive Reserach and Devolopment facilities, manned by highly experienced personnel capable of producing a wide range of products.customer requirements.
Raw material
The adsorptive capacity of granular activated carbon makes it ideal for removing a variety of contaminants from water, air, liquids, and gases to improve taste, odor, and color. Typical GAC applications are municipal and environmental water treatment, waste gas treatment, mercury removal in industrial gasses, food and beverage, metal recovery, and even medicinal use. Additionally, various particle sizes of GAC is optimal for use in vapor and liquid adsorption applications.
Our coconut shell based activated carbon has a higher percentage of micro-pores, which makes it highly effective for the filtration of small organics structures, recovery of precious metals and reduction of disinfection byproducts (DBPs) in potable water.
